NFL Week 4 Wrap-UP

Week 4 ends with a Minnesota Viking win over Green Bay Packers marking the first time in NFL history that a quarterback has been victorious against all 32 NFL teams. The quarterback of course is Packers' favorite son Brett Favre. He truly was strong armed heavy with three touchdowns in the game. Broncos, Colts, Giants, and the Saints have yet to taste the agony of defeat with 4-0 records. Chicago Bears played QB Matthew Stafford rapper Jay Z by sending Stafford a reminder that he is still a rookie. The production in New York Jet country "The Second coming of Broadway Joe" took an intermission. Rookie Mark Sanchez looked more like a rookie than Broadway Joe in the Jets' loss to an undefeated Saints' team. 49ers win with defense and the St Louis Rams' maybe the new Detroit Lions as their losing streak continues. Tom Brady and company are slowly becoming the team most fear. The Denver Broncos have clearly added some toughness to their team with better defense that was on display in their win over the Cowboys. Peyton Manning is dialed in with great passing game after game. Bengals are the best professional football team in Ohio. Quarterback change in Cleveland does not stop the team's woes but the offense showed some life in their loss against their state rival Cincinnati Bengals. Week 4 I found little groove as I picked 11 out of 14 games correctly.

The team in red represents an incorrect predicted pick.

The team in green represents a correct predicted pick.

1. Baltimore Ravens
VS New England Patriots

Final Score: 27-21

Ravens fall from the Unbeaten at the hands of a few controversial roughing the passer calls. Wide Receiver Randy Moss catches his first touchdown pass of the season. Mark Clayton forgot a receiver fundamental and that is to catch the football with your hands. Clayton drop on 4th down was costly for the Ravens. Brady cried foul and the referees listened.

2. Buffalo Bills VS Miami Dolphins

Final Score: 38-10

Miami hit the Bills with Wildcat and help QB Chad Henne in his first start. Runningback Ronnie Brown performance allowed Miami to control the clock. Brown rushed for two scores along with 115 yards. By far, Miami has shown that Wildcat is a mainstay in their offense. It will be relied upon even more now that Chad Pennington is out for the season.

3. Cincinnati Bengals VS Cleveland Browns

Final Score: 23-20

Cincinnati continues win games late and the Cleveland Browns are still the Browns. Derek Anderson sparked the offense but not enough to burn the Bengals. A scrambling Carson Palmer put the Bengals in position to win the game with a 15 yard run Palmer's run put the kicker Shayne Graham in position to boot a game winning field goal from 31 yards out.

4. Dallas Cowboys VS Denver Broncos

Final Score: 17-10

Surprise, Surprise the Denver Broncos are 4-0, and they are playing great defense. Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall was a Bronco that Cowboys could not corral as his catch and Cowboys' poor tackling lead to his winning touchdown catch.

5. Detroit Lions VS Chicago Bears

Final Score: 48-24

Chicago made sure that would not be two game winning streak for the Lions as they dismantled the Lions defense. Lions had a scare as their number 1 pick QB Matthew Stafford went down with a knee injury. I must mention speedster Johnny Knox with his kickoff return of 102 yards who shows that Devin Hester is not the only threat in the Bears' return game.

6.
Green Bay Packers VS Minnesota Vikings

(Monday Night Football Game)

Brett Favre becomes only NFL QB to beat all 32 NFL franchises. He actually achieved what he wanted is to get a victory. Adrian Peterson looked normal, and a strip of ball on one of Peterson's rushes by rookie Clay Matthews led to a score. The game showed that with a healthy Brett Favre all things are possible for the Vikings.

Final Score: 30-23

7.
New York Giants VS Kansas City Chiefs

Final Score: 27-16

Eli Manning and company continue to roll as they take their record to 4-0. Steve Smith had another great game and is slowly becoming the Steve Smith that everyone is talking about instead of the great receiver Steve Smith for the Carolina Panthers.

8. New York Jets VS New Orleans Saints

Final Score: 24-10

Rookie Mark Sanchez played like a rookie and New Orleans showed that they win on the ground instead of through the air. The Saints are showing the league that they can win with a balance attack.

9.
Oakland Raiders VS Houston Texans

Final Score: 29-6

QB Jamarcus Russell needs to learn how to play the NFL QB position. He has yet another lackluster showing in the game. Houston defense held the Raiders to 165 yards. Steve Slaton had two scores which were the highlights of the game

10.
San Diego Chargers VS Pittsburgh Steelers

Final Score: 38-28

Runningback Rashard Mendenhall 165 yards rushing is a glimpse of the smashmouth running game that everyone have grown to expect from the Steelers, but a good running game has been non-existent in the Steelers' arsenal. Pittsburgh continues to let people back into the game as Philip Rivers nearly brings his Charger team to a victory but Steelers' defense tighten up when it had to.

11. Seattle Seahawks VS Indianapolis Colts

Final Score: 34-17

Peyton Manning continues an assault on the passing records in the NFL. Manning throws his 342nd touchdown and that is third all-time behind Brett Favre and Dan Marino. The Colts has not lost a step since retirement of Head Coach Tony Dungy. Peyton also had another game that passing for over 300 yards and as long as such play continues for him, the Colts will have a chance to win.

12. St. Louis Rams VS San Francisco 49ers

Final Score: 35-0

The 49ers show a much improved defense this year and holding the Rams scoreless is a testament to their defense. Well, it also the Rams who are the new Lions. QB Shaun Hill throws for 2 touchdown passes and he managed the game pretty well.

13.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers VS Washington Redskins

Final Score: 16-13

Redskins get a win but the offense still looked lethargic. Wide receiver Santana Moss played a good game. He had 2 catches and one he took to the house. Jason Campbell and the offense need to greatly improve in order for Redskins to win on a consistent basis.

14.
Tennessee Titans
VS Jacksonville Jaguars

Final Score: 37-17

Titans are in jeopardy of not making the playoffs. The hottest team last year has now lost 4 in a row. The defense is playing terrible. QB David Garrard passes for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns. I been wrong again with the Titans as I thought this would be the week the Titians would get their first victory. Garrard looked like he was playing one of those games you find in Madden 2010 and for the Titans they wish they could hit the reset button on this season.
